Conference Update
It looks like the rest of the year will be pretty busy with conferences. First up is php|works in Atlanta, coming up in September, where I will be giving the opening keynote as well as the popular VIM for (PHP) Programmers talk. The week after that, I was invited to present at the TYPO3 conference in Karlsruhe Germany. In October, I will give the Internationalization with PHP 6 talk at ZendCon, which, thankfully, is only about 15 miles away, and finally, at the end of November, I’ll present the same talk to the audience at the AFUP Forum in Paris. Somehow, I think I’ll be ready for a vacation in December..

Andrei, your “vim for PHP programmers” is an excellent talk, I’m wondering if there anything like that for C/C++ programmers?

Pavel,
No, there isn’t. Or least, not yet. But the major concepts should be readily applicable to C/C++ programming. The differences would be in tagging, highlighting, and some plugins, I guess. I haven’t really had a need to do a C/C++ specific VIM talk.. maybe one of these days.

Btw, didn’t you think of recording some videos of your vim editing session? Imho, it would be very helpful for people thinking about making a switch from their beloved GUI IDE to vim to see the real benefits of doing so.

Pavel, it came across my mind. But as always, finding available time is the issue.
