Besides, movabletype isn’t strictly a CGI. Its all statically generated, only the editing and comments interface is actually a CGI.

Because it’s easy to set up, is full featured, and works? It has nothing to do with being faithful to PHP.

WHY??? Of all of the things to use, why a crappy CGI? Doesn’t say much about your faith in PHP.
